- Figure approximately 70 pounds of gear per person plus sleeping
bag (use a duffel bag)
Sleeping bag (full mummy type, heavily insulated for winter)
Pillow and sleeping pad (if required)
- Lodge hunts (include bedding)

- One set of rain gear (poncho, slicker, etc.)

- Light shirts (long sleeved)

- One pair of sturdy boots (waterproof)

- Personal toiletries
- Archery/Firearms and sufficient ammunition
- Personal water jug or canteen
- Binoculars
- Small flashlight with extra batteries
- Sharp knife
- Matches or lighter
- Camera and necessary equipment
*REQUIRED UNDER MONTANA LAW-Hunter's orange jacket or vest must
contain
no less than 400 square inches of orange

ARCHERY HUNTERS: Please note: You must bring a license from another
state or a
previous Montana license to buy your bow stamp.

DROP CAMP
We provide:
- Pots, pans, utensils, dishes, silverware
- Ax, shovel, saw
- Tents
- Wood stove for heating
- Propane cooking stove and tank
- Cots
You need to bring:
- Personal gear (toiletries, etc.)
- Lanterns, fuel, mantles, matches
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad (if required)
- Pillow (if required)
- Kitchen towels, hot mitts, dish soap, etc.
- Food
- •"Hunter's orange (vest or jacket) is required under
Montana law and must contain no less
then 400 square inches of orange.
*DON'T FORGET YOUR HUNTING LICENSE!
We pack you, your gear and your supplies into the designated area.
We then pack you,
your gear and your game out. Any leftover food can't be packed out;
please plan
carefully.
We reserve a cabin for you the night before your hunt; however,
that is not covered in
your drop camp fee. Please pay for the cabin when you arrive. If
you would like a lunch
packed for the trip in, please make arrangements the night before.
Breakfast is available
off of the menu the morning your hunt goes in. Meals and lodging
are not included in
your drop camp fee and MUST be paid for separately. If you would
like to reserve a
cabin for the evening you come out of camp, please call the Lodge
as soon as possible

SUMMER EQUIPMENT LIST
- Rain suit (top and bottom), preferably not a poncho
- Hat (sun or rain protection)
- Gloves
- Sleeping bag, medium weight, preferably a mummy style in compression
bag
- Inflatable sleeping pad (i.e. Thermarest) or thin foam pad
- Insect repellent
- Sun screen
- Fishing equipment with a travel case (optional)
- Riding boots/shoes (something with a heel—not fashion boots!)
- Camp shoes (i.e. light weight Gortex hikers)
- Extra cotton socks
- Flash light & batteries
- Camera/film
- Jacket (cool morning and evening temperatures are commons-heavier
coat recommended
- Personal toiletry items (hand soap, towel, wash cloth, etc.)
- Personal water jug
- *Fishing license—available in Augusta, check with outfitter
for specific dates
- *Personal medications—please notify outfitter before leaving
the Lodge if you are taking
prescription drugs or have medical/health problems or allergies
* Special diet or food preferences/dislikes? Please let us know
when you make your
reservations so we can plan the menu accordingly.
* Base camp is set up with 14' X 16' wall tents with cots
and wood heating stoves. Meals
are served in a separate cook tent. There is also a shower tent and
an outhouse tent.
* 0n roving trips, you will sleep in small pup tents or teepee tents
with floors and your
sleeping pad (no cots). Normally, two guests per tent.
* Please limit duffle weight to 40 pounds per person. |
